Last Friday, April 26, Prof. Gérard Mourou, one of the laureates of the Nobel Prize in Physics 2018, visited our research group and laboratories at the Department of Physics and Astronomy (FCUP), as well as Sphere Ultrafast Photonics, our deep-tech spin-off company. His talk on the present and future role of ultra-intense lasers was truly inspiring (the conference hall was packed) – “The best is yet to come!”. A truly great and memorable day for everyone: young students, researchers, professors, and the general public.
